Gerard Szary: Principal

Gerard Szary BSc (Hons), MA, is the Principal of Szary Associates-Counselling and Psychological Therapy. He is a UKCP Psychotherapist accredited since 1995. He holds the Graduate Basis for recognition of the British Psychological Society.

He has qualifications in Psychology, Psychotherapy, Education and Training, Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Social Work and Management. Gerard offers a range of interventions tailored to the specific needs of clients across personal and professional development, mental and physical health, relationships, sports and work related performance.

Gerard is an Expert Witness, and undertakes assessments in criminal and civil proceedings. he has particular expertise in problems related to internet activities.

 

Annie Szary: Associate Therapist

Annie Szary CQSW PG Dip in T herapeutic Counselling (CBT) . She is a member of BACP and BABCP and abides by their professional standards and ethics. Annie has worked in the caring professions for over 20 years including the NHS and Local Authority Social Services. She has experience and qualifications in Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Social Work and Family Therapy.

Annie has experience in Mental Heath work as an Approved Social Worker. She alsohas experience of work with adolescents. Annie has worked for a National Organisation providing counselling services for bereavement and loss. She works with a large national charity providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.Annie is committed to professional development and is currently undertaking an MA inTherapeutic Counselling.


Dr Michael Christopher: Associate Assessor

Michael Christopher holds the Graduate Basis of Registration with theBritish Psychological Society. He holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Sports Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a PhD in Psychology in which the focus was on interpretive research and the assessment of behaviour change and rehabilitation from trauma. He has supported therapy programmes and conducted assessments of personality and risk within hospital settings; prison; low and medium secure psychiatric units; drug and alcohol treatment units as well as in community and in the process has accumulated over ten years experience in health and social care. He was appointed as a post doctoral research fellow to the Virtual Institute for Severe Personality Disorder (1999-2001) with the remit to develop measures of change for people with severe anti social personality disorders and has since been employed with the Centre for Psychological Therapy to conduct interviews and assessments.
